Full body checkup cost in Delhi ranges from ₹999 to ₹12,000 — but most packages at the lower end are not full body checkups. This page tells you what a genuine full body health screen should include at your age, what separates a real checkup from a marketing package, and what it costs at accredited labs in Delhi NCR in 2026.
The Problem With "Full Body Checkup" in Delhi — Honest Answer First
There is no standard definition of "full body checkup" in India. A centre charging ₹999 may include 18 tests — CBC, blood glucose, and urine routine. A centre charging ₹5,000 may include 68 tests including lipids, thyroid, kidney function, liver enzymes, Vitamin D, HbA1c, and ECG. Both call it a "full body checkup."
The patient cannot tell the difference from a price or a name. They can only tell the difference by looking at the specific test list.
This page gives you the specific test list that actually matters — by age.
Why Preventive Health Checks Matter More in Delhi NCR
Over 70% of cardiovascular disease deaths in India occur before the age of 70 — compared to 25% in high-income countries. Type 2 diabetes is often diagnosed 5–7 years after it has already begun damaging organs. Hypertension affects an estimated 220 million Indians, but awareness and treatment rates are well below 50%.
Non-communicable diseases now account for 63% of all deaths in India — most of which are preventable with regular health checkups.
Delhi NCR's specific risk profile compounds this: sedentary IT and corporate workforce, high-salt and high-refined-carbohydrate diet, chronic sleep deprivation, high occupational stress, and very low physical activity levels in the working population aged 30–50. This is precisely the population that develops silent diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidaemia — all detectable years before symptoms appear on a comprehensive blood panel.
Full Body Checkup — What Tests Should Actually Be Included
The Core Tests — Every Age, Every Package
If a package does not include all of these, it is not a full body checkup regardless of what it is called:
|
Test |
What It Checks |
|
CBC (Complete Blood Count) |
Anaemia, infection, platelet disorders |
|
Fasting Blood Glucose |
Diabetes screening |
|
HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin) |
3-month average blood sugar — detects pre-diabetes missed by fasting glucose |
|
Lipid Profile (Total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, Triglycerides) |
Heart disease risk |
|
LFT (Liver Function Tests) |
SGPT, SGOT, bilirubin, albumin — liver health |
|
KFT (Kidney Function Tests) |
Creatinine, urea, uric acid — kidney health |
|
TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) |
Thyroid function — affects weight, energy, mood |
|
Urine Routine and Microscopy |
Kidney health, infection, diabetes markers |
|
Blood Pressure |
Hypertension screening |
If your "full body checkup" does not include HbA1c, lipid profile, LFT, KFT, and TSH — it is a basic health screen, not a full body checkup.
Age-Wise Guide — What Tests to Add at Each Stage
Age 25–35 — Foundation Screen
Core tests above, plus:
|
Additional Test |
Why |
|
Vitamin D (25-OH) |
Deficiency is near-universal in urban India — affects bones, immunity, mood |

Deficiency common in vegetarians and in those on PPIs — causes fatigue and neurological symptoms |
|
Iron studies (serum ferritin, iron, TIBC) |
Particularly important for women — subclinical iron deficiency is very common |

BMI and waist circumference |
Metabolic syndrome screening — not a blood test but should be part of the consultation |
Frequency: Ages 20–30: every 2–3 years if healthy; annually if you have a family history or unhealthy lifestyle habits.
Estimated cost at EVE partner centres in Delhi: ₹2,500–₹4,500
Age 35–45 — The Most Important Age Group
If you are over 40, have a family history of illness, or lead a high-stress lifestyle, a comprehensive or advanced package is recommended. A basic checkup may miss specific markers like Vitamin D or cardiac CRP, which become important as you age.

|

Breast cancer screening |
|
For men: PSA (from 40 with family history) |
Prostate cancer marker |

Estimated cost at EVE partner centres in Delhi: ₹4,000–₹7,500
Age 45–60 — Annual Without Exception
After 40, the risk of chronic diseases increases significantly. Annual full body checkups are essential to monitor heart health, metabolic function, and vital organs, ensuring early diagnosis and better outcomes. NewYork-Presbyterian

The ₹999 Full Body Checkup — What You Are Actually Getting
This section exists because the ₹999 full body checkup is the most marketed and most misunderstood diagnostic product in Delhi.
A typical ₹999 package includes: CBC, blood glucose (random or fasting), urine routine, and sometimes a lipid profile or LFT. Total: 15–25 parameters.
What it misses: HbA1c (the 3-month sugar average that catches pre-diabetes), TSH (thyroid), KFT (kidney function), Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, hs-CRP (cardiac inflammation), uric acid, and any imaging.
Who it is appropriate for: A genuinely healthy person under 30 with no family history of diabetes, heart disease, or thyroid conditions — who wants a very basic annual baseline. This is a minority of the people booking it.
Who it is not appropriate for: Anyone over 35, anyone with a family history of diabetes or heart disease, anyone who is overweight, anyone with fatigue, anyone who has not had a health check in more than two years. For these patients, a ₹999 package gives a false sense of reassurance.
The honest rule: a full body checkup should cost at least ₹2,500–₹3,500 at an accredited lab to be clinically meaningful. Below that price point, critical parameters are being omitted.

How to Prepare for a Full Body Checkup
Fasting: 8–12 hours of fasting for blood tests (no food, no drinks except water). Tea and coffee count as food — skip them on the morning of the test.
Timing: Book a morning appointment — fast overnight from dinner and go first thing in the morning. Avoids a full day of fasting.
Medications: Continue all regular medications with a small sip of water unless your doctor has specifically told you to hold any. Do not stop blood pressure or diabetes medications before a health check.
What to bring:
- Previous health check reports if available — for comparison
- List of current medications
- Aadhaar card for CGHS patients — required for Form F on any imaging investigations
- A light snack for after the blood draw — blood glucose can drop after fasting
After fasting blood draw: You can eat immediately after the blood draw. If ultrasound is part of your package — it requires a full bladder for some views and is usually done before you eat.
Results: Blood test results are typically available within 4–6 hours. Imaging reports same day or next day. Some specialised tests (Vitamin D, certain hormones) may take 24–48 hours.

Clinical Note
From the reviewing physician: The most common pattern I see in preventive health in Delhi is the patient who has had a ₹999 "full body checkup" every year for three years, believes they are getting an annual health screen, and presents to my clinic at 42 with a fasting glucose of 186, an HbA1c of 8.4%, and never-checked kidney function showing creatinine of 1.8. None of these would have been caught by their ₹999 package — which included only CBC, random blood glucose, and urine routine. They had elevated random glucose at their last checkup that was attributed to a post-meal reading and dismissed. HbA1c was never tested. The lesson is not that health checkups are useless — it is that the wrong health checkup gives a false sense of reassurance that is worse than no checkup at all. A comprehensive panel at ₹3,500–₹5,000 at a NABL-accredited lab in Delhi — including HbA1c, lipid profile, LFT, KFT, TSH, Vitamin D, and B12, with an ultrasound abdomen — is what I recommend to every patient over 35 regardless of how healthy they feel. The conditions that kill people in Delhi — diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, fatty liver — are all silent until they are not.
